About The Editor
Jason LeValley
Editor-in-Chief, Publisher and Founder
Jason LeValley grew up in Central Phoenix and spent much of his life in California and Tucson, where he founded an award-winning, independent radio station.
During his tenure as the Executive Director of the station, KTDT (Downtown Radio), LeValley organized, promoted, and managed a series of “Psych-Out” concerts featuring top neo-psych acts like Sugar Candy Mountain, Mute Swan, and The Myrrors. He received a Masters in Counseling from Santa Clara University. Jason, a musicologist and psychonaut, launched Psychedelic Scene in April 2021.
LeValley once served as Music Editor for Screen Rant and has been a regular contributor to the Phoenix New Times music section since March 2025.
