Psychedelics Reveal the Secrets of the Mysteries
Have you ever wondered about the secrets of the mysteries? More specifically the divine mysteries? It is well known to indigenous peoples and some spiritual seekers that psychedelics offer insights into the divine mysteries. Did you know that that is why they are banned? Did you know that they pose a threat to the status quo, to those that seek to control mankind and keep us in the dark about our true nature and the true nature of all of life? This article is meant to cause a deep dive as to why nature herself provides us with mind altering substances, or should we say mind expanding substances. For you see, there is more to psychedelics than recreation or escape. They have reason and purpose for being. Much like mankind does, though the majority have long since forgotten. Psychedelics provide a way to help us remember all is sacred, all is holy, all is divine.

When primitive man discovered psilocybin mushrooms and partook of them, he had a spiritual experience. His third eye or inner vision, was opened and for the first time he peered into the invisible world that surrounds us all. He was made aware that everything lives and breathes, and is indeed alive with consciousness. He became aware of his ability to communicate with plants, animals, fire, water, air, ether and the Earth herself. He heard the voices of his male and female guides. He asked to be shown the nature of everything and he was shown. His heart was pure, his intentions were noble and, in turn, he made his tribespeople aware of what he had learned. The fungi taught the tribe how to heal and the truth of who they are. These were peaceful people who lived in harmony with the land they occupied.
Now, there are those skeptics among you who are reading this and have never experienced these wonders via psychedelics. One must look back upon their experiences and truly reflect on why they took psychedelics in the first place. If it was just for fun, then you would have certainly tripped out and seen things with open eyes, but the wisdom would not have come. If it was escape, then that is what you would have experienced. If you had a negative experience, it could have been caused by having been in a bad head space or perhaps there were dark forces or a combination thereof, in which case a safe space had not been created for your experience.
Mystical experiences are available to all who seek them, whether through psychedelics or not (for not all are called to work with sacred plant medicines). The way you approach psychedelics and your reason for working with them make a huge difference. If you are to approach psychedelics with a healthy dose of respect and pure intention of truth being revealed, that will surely come to pass.

The set and setting of the experience must be carefully planned beforehand. Depending upon which psychedelic you’re working with (such as Ayahuasca and Iboga), the following steps will be covered by shamans, medicine people, or facilitators (as it is not advisable to do these psychedelics alone, and always do your due diligence to ensure these persons are qualified and reputable). If you’re working with psilocybin and feel comfortable imbibing it on your own, then what follows are guidelines for your mystical, consciousness (awareness) expanding experience. It is beneficial to prepare for your journey by creating a protected space. Make sure your time and date of ceremony will be uninterrupted (turn off your cell phone, hang a do not disturb sign, whatever it takes). This also involves energy work (for everything is energy, which physics has proven). One may smudge (light sage or palo santo and use the smoke) themselves and the area in which they will be journeying in. This purifies and removes low vibrational energies. It is also advisable to call in spiritual assistance (such as Archangel Michael and or Goddess Athena) to clean and clear your physical vessel and environment, and ask for the continual protection of self and space for the duration of the psychedelic experience. It is highly recommended that all steps are done, as we can never invoke too much to ensure our experiences are safe.

Once the above measures are in place, it is important to state your intention for your journey before partaking of the medicine (as it is referred to by those who honor and revere its consciousness). An intention informs the medicine of what you wish to experience during your journey. Choose wisely! Prior to the day or evening of your journey spend time in quiet contemplation, prayer or meditation, as to what it is you wish to experience. It is best to have a clear, singular intention prior to the time of ceremony. An example of an intention is: I intend to have a spiritual experience. Another intention could be for a physical, mental or emotional healing. Do ponder this before settling on a singular intention for your journey. Once the set and setting are in place, state your clear, singular intention just prior to partaking of the medicine. Then allow the psychedelic’s consciousness to provide you with what you intended for and anything else it may wish to reveal to you.

Another phenomenon that occurs when one chooses to work with plant medicine in this way is that the medicine itself shall begin working with your consciousness prior to ceremony (for truly there is no separation). Over time and practice with sacred medicine this will become obvious to you.
If you are one of the skeptical ones, I implore you to give this a try. Explore what governments, controlling ones, suppressors of truth never wanted mankind to know. You have nothing to lose. There are a whole lot of divine mysteries that await you, dear one.
By approaching psychedelics respectfully and creating a safe, uninterrupted container for your journey, you can be assured that the secrets of the mysteries will be revealed to you. That is why Mother Nature provides us with these tools, to help those who feel called to use them understand (remember) their true nature and its relationship with all that is, was, and will be.
