Rock’s Mad Geniuses
Rock had several “mad geniuses” whose mental illness was obfuscated by psychedelic drug use. Those musicians include Syd Barret, Roky Erickson, Peter Green, Brian Wilson, and Skip Spence. Each of these men was labeled an acid casualty, but each suffered from a serious mental illness that was exacerbated by drug use.
Twink-Think Pink IV: Return to Deep Space
Twink is a little-known but seminal figure from the heady days of the late 60s British rock scene. He played drums for the band Tomorrow, whose sole 1968 album is probably best-known for launching the career of future Yes guitarist Steve Howe.
