U.S. Psych Festivals Levitation and Desert Daze Are Back!

Last year was a disaster for the live music industry, as COVID-19 wiped out just about everything from March forward. While this year has offered some relief, many shows and tours were canceled due to the Delta variant.

Fortunately, Austin’s Levitation and Southern California’s Desert Daze are back and on schedule. Levitation will take place over Halloween weekend October 28th through 31st while Desert Daze is set for November 12th through 14th.

The lineup for this year’s Levitation, formerly known as Austin Psychfest, includes The Black Angels, who founded the festival, Japanese psych-rockers Kikagaku Moyo, Frankie and the Witch Fingers, Acid Dad, Hooveriii, Japanese Breakfast, Levitation Room, A Place to Bury Strangers, La Luz, The Hives, and L.A. Witch.

Desert Daze 2021 features The War on Drugs, Japanese Breakfast, Toro y Moi, jazz phenom Kamasi Washington, Devendra Banhart, Moon Duo, The Black Angels, La Luz, and Kikagaku Moyo.

Tickets for both events are available online at https://levitation.fm/ and https://desertdaze.org/.
