Psychedelic Scene’s 12 Best Psychedelic Albums of 2021

As 2021 comes to a close, it’s time to name our top psych albums of the year.

The first thing you should know is that we didn’t listen to all the psych albums that came out this year. We couldn’t have because, well, the staff is here is a little on the small side, and, as such, it wouldn’t be feasible to even attempt to listen to all the psych albums that came out in 2021. Furthermore, “psych” has become such a buzzword that there are tons of albums coming out that are labeled “psych” that really don’t have much to do with psychedelic music at all.

So what we’re going to do is highlight the albums that we’ve already reviewed favorably and point you toward the original review. Here, in alphabetical order by title, are our favorite psychedelic albums of the year:
