Artist Profile: Eliot Burton

Eliot Burton is a 31-year-old self-taught artist from Buffalo, New York, whose creative journey has evolved from photography into a vibrant world of digital art, photo manipulation, and psychedelic-inspired visual storytelling. Originally building his foundation through his photography business, Aricus Photography, Eliot eventually expanded his artistic vision and created EJ’sGlitchGarden—a space where technology, nature, music, and imagination collide.

Drawing inspiration from psychedelia, sound, the natural world, and the artists who have shaped his creative perspective, Eliot’s work explores the hidden beauty and overlooked details that surround us every day. His pieces are a fusion of reality and abstraction, transforming familiar images into surreal landscapes that invite viewers to look beyond the surface and experience the world from a different perspective.

Completely self-taught, Eliot’s artistic path has taken him across the country and through a wide range of creative mediums. From photography and event flyers to intricate digital compositions and mind-bending abstract artwork, his work reflects a constant drive to experiment, evolve, and create something new. At the heart of EJ’sGlitchGarden is a desire to reveal a side of existence that many people may not normally see—a dreamlike space where the organic and digital worlds blend together.

Eliot also credits psychedelics as a major influence in both his artistic evolution and personal growth. For him, the psychedelic experience became a catalyst for creativity, self-discovery, and a deeper exploration of identity and self-love. These experiences helped open new pathways in his artistic expression, allowing him to embrace a more authentic and expansive creative voice.

As a passionate lover of nature, Eliot takes pride in keeping his artistic process human-driven and does not use AI in the creation of his work. Every piece is built through his own vision, experimentation, and connection to the world around him. This commitment to a hands-on creative process is central to the spirit of EJ’sGlitchGarden.

Eliot’s artwork has been featured in travel publications, EDM-focused media, and online creative communities, reaching audiences who connect with his unique blend of psychedelic imagery and digital exploration. EJ’sGlitchGarden is also the primary visual artist for WNY-based EDM producer Øptixx, creating artwork that complements the immersive experience of electronic music.

Step into the garden of digital blooms for analog souls and experience the psychedelic journey Eliot Burton has cultivated—where abstract visions, photographic memories, and the beauty of nature grow together in unexpected and extraordinary ways.
